Terms of Service

Last updated: May 24, 2026

These Terms govern your use of TRACE ("TRACE," "we," "us"), an internet identity and reputation protocol available at traceeco.io. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use TRACE. By using the service you represent that you meet this requirement and that your use complies with all laws applicable to you.

2. The service

TRACE reads public signals from networks you choose to connect (X, wallet, Discord, Telegram) and produces a reputation score, a clearance tier, and a verifiable Passport. The service may include access codes, an invitation program, and a public network-activity explorer. Features may evolve, change, or be removed at our discretion.

3. Accounts and connections

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate access for any violation, and we may revoke previously granted access codes or reputation status when a holder no longer meets the conditions on which they were granted.

5. Access codes, invitations, and Passport

Access codes are one-shot and may be issued, revoked, or invalidated by us or by the protocol's rules (for example, when a holder's reputation falls below the issuing tier). Invitations are validated automatically; invalid or fraudulent invitations do not count. Your Passport is a public reputation record and may be displayed on public pages such as the Top Passports leaderboard and your public profile.

6. Intellectual property

The TRACE name, marks, designs, software, and the TRACED collection are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the service without prior written permission.

7. Third-party services

The service interacts with third-party networks and providers (such as X, Discord, Telegram, and blockchain data providers). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or actions.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reputation score, tier, or verification decision will be accurate, current, or suitable for any particular use.

TRACE is informational. Nothing in the service is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. TRACE does not offer, sell, or solicit any security or token.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TRACE and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (USD 100).

10. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TRACE and its operators from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, or remove or revoke reputation, access codes, or other status, at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and these general terms) will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the protocol evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. General

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of that right. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TRACE regarding the service.
